Multiple Myeloma Awareness Fundraiser by Brooke Scully & Family

March is Multiple Myeloma Awareness Month. 

Last year at this time I had never even heard of this disease. 

Hearing the words, You have Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer, that is treatable but not curable, I will never forget. 

This month is now special to me and my family. We wanted to do something to donate to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF). 

Because of this FABULOUS foundation, 

I have started a top notch treatment plan, have been able to research anything I need to know on their site, and have Doctors working around the clock for more treatments & a cure. 

These treatments have come so far in the last 10 years, patients are able to live their lives while managing this ugly disease. 

My doctor, Dr. Macari, believes in 5 years there could be a cure, and he is one AMAZING physician, So I'm always Team Macari!!! 

This shirt design is personal to me. 

My son Alerik designed this shirt. The front is my forearm tattoo that I got when I started strength training shortly after my Papa had passed away. The gym saved me from what I thought was going to be the hardest time in my life. Now I'm even more thankful for the gym, if it wasn't part of me, this disease would have attacked my bones and caused injuries & fractures. My physical and mental strength was learned in the gym and is part of me daily. 

The back is a saying from Dr. Macari. He has imbedded in my head that this is a MARATHON, not a Sprint! 

And I Believe I will hit that finish line!!! 

Proceeds will be donated to the MMRF when the store closes.
